Holloway Literary recently joined the International Thriller Writers association in order to increase our exposure to authors of the genre. Some of our favorite writers are Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Daniel Silva, Tom Clancy and Steve Berry. We would love to receive manuscripts with a male or female protagonist with a military/Special forces, diplomatic or espionage background.
We also love history, especially American and military history. Writers read authors like Steve Berry and Dan Brown who mix intrigue with a history lesson, think stories like The Davinci Code, Rick Riordan’s YA series The Kane Chronicles or the film National Treasure. If you happen to remember Helen MacInnes and write stories similar to hers, we definitely want to see your submission.
American and ancient history (Egypt, Ethiopia, Olmecs, Carthage…whatever), stories set in the ante-bellum south, or during the Revolutionary or Civil War, or that somehow involve mysteries originating in the past always catch our attention.
